How to navigate between, interact with, and view lecture slides

Last Updated: May 16, 2013 04:27PM EDT

Viewing and navigating slides

  1. Your instructor’s published slides will appear in the slides tab.
  2. To navigate through slides during lecture, use the up and down arrows on the left side of the window or click Browse Slides to view thumbnails of all lecture slides.

Marking slides as Confusing

  1. Click the Confusing Button to report comprehension difficulties on a particular slide. This alerts your instructor that a certain percentage of the class is confused on a particular slide.
  2. Quickly find slides you marked confusing in a lecture by opening Browse Slides and clicking the exclamation point icon in the Filter Slides box.

Bookmarking slides with the Flag Button

  1. The Flag Button allows you to bookmark important slides for further study. Unlike the Confusing Button, “flagging” a slide does not relay any information to your instructor.
  2. Quickly find slides you marked confusing in a lecture by opening Browse Slides and clicking the flag icon in the Filter Slides box.

Find and navigate through slides quickly using Browse Slides

  1. Click on the Browse Slides tab to open and close the slide thumbnails. Here you will find all slides from the current lecture.
  2. Scroll and locate the thumbnail of the slide you would like to view. Click the thumbnail and the slide will load in the slides pane.
  3. Display only thumbnails for slides you have marked confusing or flagged as important by using the Filter Slides buttons.
  4. Close the navigation by clicking the Browse Slides tab.

Viewing hidden slides

  1. Your instructor may choose to hide certain slides from students prior to class. In a published lecture, the slide will appear with the text “Hidden Slide.” During class when your instructor reveals a hidden slide, you will be able to view the slide’s content.

  2. Navigate to the hidden slide, which will become visible automatically when revealed by your instructor. Alternatively, when a hidden slide is revealed, a Click for Unhidden Slide notification will appear. Click the notification to jump to the hidden slide.
  3. Your instructor may hide or unhide slides at any time and, after class, may choose to hide slides that were revealed during lecture.
